Garrett Stump walked away from the security of the Carpenters' Union, steady work, and a clear path, to chase something uncertain: building a company of his own. What he found instead were long nights, tight margins, and the reality that owning a business means carrying every win and every failure on your back. But in that pressure, he gained something bigger: purpose, resilience, and the chance to build on his own terms.
Jamie came from a life shaped by service and leadership, decades spent leading others, sacrificing time with family, and carrying responsibility most people never see. When he stepped into Nailed It, he didn't just bring experience, he brought grit, discipline, and the mindset that teams are built, not found.

Together, they bet everything on a simple belief:

If Nailed It had a heartbeat, it would probably sound like a tape measure snapping back and a phone buzzing at the same time. That's Garrett Stump.
Garrett is the founder of Nailed It, a former union carpenter who traded a steady path for the wild ride of building something from scratch. He's the guy who'll be sketching your layout, walking your jobsite, answering your texts, and still finding time to obsess over whether that cabinet line is dead straight.
He believes good builds start with better questions. Why this project? Why now? And how do we make it actually work for your life, not just look good in photos?
Known for straight talk, high standards, and not sugarcoating the process, Garrett brings a mix of craftsmanship, problem-solving, and just enough humor to keep the job moving when the dust starts flying.

Jamie Huffman

Jamie's proud of a lot of things in life. But if you ask him what his greatest achievement is, there's a good chance he'll point to his dog before he mentions anything else.
They're a full-blown deer-tracking team. Two partners, one mission, and Jamie will absolutely tell you the dog is doing most of the real work.
Jamie is also the husband to an Italian wife who matches his energy and the father of five daughters, which means he's spent a lifetime learning patience, toughness, and how to survive conversations he doesn't always enjoy. He loves his girls fiercely… even if, by his own admission, he doesn't always like them.
Before Nailed It, Jamie lived a life of service, spending decades in the Army and private government work. That chapter shaped who he is: loyal, intense, direct, and built to carry responsibility without flinching.
When he stepped into Nailed It, it wasn't about slowing down. It was about pouring that same fire into something closer to home. Building a company. Building a team. And building something his family could point to and say, "That's ours."
